Vertical Pilates with Dynamic Walking
Dynamic Stability Training (DST) is a fitness system comprised of specially designed exercises to give greater stability to the skeletal structure of the body in a dynamic state. DST reduces shock to the skeletal body by retraining the body to activate the larger skeletal and small postural muscles to lift and hold the body more upright and redistribute shock and shearing forces more evenly.
DST is meant to be gentle and provide stability like Pilates, with dynamic rotational movements like Gyrontonics machines, and the excitement and group fun of an aerobics class.
Benefits of DST:
|
• Staying fit as an MBT user • Improve use of MBT • Better posture • Improve gait pattern • Tone "bums and tums" • Develop proprioception and muscle awareness • Reduce injury • Rehabilitation and recovery from injury or surgery • Greater coordination and balance • Excellent strength training and muscle toning • Improve balance, coordination and reaction time

DST
DST classes are conducted in gyms, studios or outdoors. DST can also be experienced on treadmills as a way to improve running and jogging style. DST incorporates existing fitness equipment like stability balls, bands and proprioception and balancing devices to further enhance the concept of dynamic stability.
DST classes are designed, initially for users of MBT to be able to obtain further training in gait, posture and exercise that go beyond the exercises provided in the video or any brochures.
DST can serve customers who require more therapy than exercise, by providing one-to-one or small group sessions (1-3 people). DST can also serve customers who desire more per class with 3 - 7 participants, depending on room size and on duration and level of intensity.
